About me
Ms. Miki Ota joined the MHLW in December 2000, when she was assigned to the Pharmaceutical and Food Safety Bureau. She was mainly involved in Safety measure of Chemical Substance. Subsequently, she worked in several organizations including Ministry of the Environment, National Personnel Authority, as well as several divisions in the MHLW. She has a wide range of experience in public health field especially pharmaceutical administration, including marketing authorization, approval review of drugs and medical devices, pharmacovigilance, medical policy (pharmacist, pharmacy etc.). She joined PMDA in May 2012- July 2015 and April 2024. Since April 2024, she has been Director, Office of Informatic and Manegement for Safety in PMDA.
