About me
Dr. Luan is currently the Executive Regulatory Science Director at AstraZeneca (AZ), where she oversees all regulatory aspects of obesity and diabetes drug development and supports the research, development, and commercialization efforts in these disease areas. She also leads the AZ Health Authority Alumni Advisory Group and co-leads AZ RWE for Regulatory Purposes Working Group and drives external engagement initiatives with global trade organizations and Health Authorities such as FDA, EMA, PMDA and CDE, with a focus on chronic diseases, RWD/RWE, and AI. Prior to joining AZ, she spent more than 13 years at the FDA’s CDER Office of Biostatistics, serving as a Statistical Primary Reviewer, Team Leader, and Acting Deputy Division Director.
