About me
Kaisa Immonen joined the Stakeholders and Public engagement team of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) in 2023. She supports interactions with patients, consumers and their organisations. Kaisa holds a Master’s degree in Health Policy, Management and Innovation (Maastricht University) and a Master’s in International Relations (University of Kent at Canterbury/Tampere University). She has extensive experience of EU health policy and patient advocacy and as Director of Policy at the European Patients’ Forum in 2010-2013 co-chaired the EMA Patients and Consumers Working Party 2016-2022. Past contributions include the OECD’s work on quality and safety of healthcare and the OECD PaRIS surveys on PROMs and PREMs.
