About me
Dr. Matsuda is a pharmacist and a Principal Senior Scientist for Quality at the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA), Japan. He received his Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences from Toho University in 1997 and his Master’s degree from Toyama Medical and Pharmaceutical University in 1999. After serving as a JSPS Research Fellow (DC2), he obtained his Ph.D. in Medicine from Tokyo Medical and Dental University in 2003. He joined the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Evaluation Center, the predecessor of PMDA, in 2003 and has been engaged in regulatory review since the establishment of PMDA in 2004. His work includes ICH Q9, Q-IWG, and Q13, and he leads innovative manufacturing technology initiatives at PMDA.
